SINGAPORE: Police have nabbed four youths for suspected involvement in robbery cases at Serangoon and Ang Mo Kio estates. The first case happened on December 16.
A 31-year-old woman was robbed by three youths at the void deck of Block 232A Serangoon Avenue 3 at about 3.20am.
The suspects had robbed her of her cash and belongings worth about S$400 and assaulted her after she put up a struggle.
The second case happened four days later on December 20 at about 5.50am at Block 219 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. The victim was a 58-year-old man.
The suspects had pushed him to the ground and ran off with his cash and belongings worth some S$50.
The youths, aged between 17 and 18, were nabbed in the vicinity of Ang Mo Kio on Monday. A knife was also seized from the suspects.
If convicted, the youths could be jailed up to 14 years and given 24 strokes of the cane.
