Police appeal for information on murder in Geylang

SINGAPORE: A 43-year-old Singaporean man died in hospital shortly after he was found injured in Geylang early Monday morning.

Police said they were alerted about the incident at about 2.20am.

The man was found at the junction of Geylang Road and Geylang Lorong 20.

He was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and died at 3.12am.

Police said early investigations showed he was assaulted.

They have classified the case as murder.

Geylang murder suspects nabbed

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested four men in connection with the murder of a 43-year-old male Indian Singaporean.

The four, aged between 37 and 53 years old, were arrested within 24 hours after the victim was found on Monday, with serious injuries in Geylang.

The victim was sent to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The four suspects will be charged on Wednesday with murder, a crime that carries the death penalty.

Four unemployed men were charged on Wednesday with the murder of a man in Geylang on Monday.

Kung Kwai Cheong, 53, Jamsari Yusuf, 49, Terrence Goh Chye Huat, 43, and Redzuan Pupon, 37, allegedly caused the death of Gunasekaran Rengasamy, 43, along Geylang Road between 1.58am and 2.20am that day.

Four men charged with Geylang Road murder

SINGAPORE: Four men have been charged in court on Wednesday with the murder of a 43-year-old man in Geylang.

The accused are 37-year-old Rezuan Pupon, 43-year-old Goh Chye Huat Terence, 49-year-old Jamsari Yusuf and 53-year-old Kung Kwai Cheong.

They allegedly murdered Mr Gunasekaran Rengasamy on February 13 this year some time between 1.58am and 2.20am along Geylang Road.

If convicted, they face the death penalty.
