Ms Han Yan Fei (left) and Ms Pham Thi Hai Yen (right), are missing.</cite>

Two young women are missing in Singapore and a $10,000 reward has been put out for each of them.

The two women are Chinese national singer Han Yan Fei, who has been missing for two years, and Vietnamese girl Pham Thi Hai Yen, missing for 22 days.

Both their families are searching for them with help from the Crime Library, a local organisation set up to help find missing persons.

Han had gone missing in 2009, when she took a week off work for a vacation. She was 28 at the time.

Later on, her boyfriend, a married man, was found dead with his body floating in the sea.

Han's mother, Mdm Zhang, 49, had come to Singapore in 2009 to search for her.

At the time, Mdm Zhang had gone to MRT stations to appeal for help from passersby by carrying a placard depicting her daughter's photo, around her neck.

With the Crime Library's help, Mdm Zhang also gave out flyers hoping to hear news of her daughter, but their efforts proved fruitless.

The other missing person is Pham Thi Hai Yen, 16, who comes from a well-to-do family that currently resides in Australia.

Ms Pham had returned to Vietnam with her family for Chinese New Year in January this year, and had been on the way back home to Australia on 12 Feb when she went missing.

The airport had notified her family that Ms Pham's luggage remained unclaimed and her family later found that Ms Pham had taken a budget flight with another Vietnamese woman to Singapore.

Ms Pham has been missing since.

Her father, Mr Pham, 48, is afraid that his daughter may have been forced into prostitution in Singapore and had gone to Geylang to search for her but failed.

He recounted that his daughter had got to know a woman over the internet recently. The woman had claimed that she can help Ms Pham fulfill her dreams.

Mr Pham believes that the woman may be related to his daughter's disappearance.

If you have any information on Ms Han or Ms Pham, call the police at 1800 255 0000, or the Crime Library at 6293 5250.

Nobody is forced into prostitution, just as no once is 'forced' into robbing a bank.

Stop portraying these women as poor, helpless victims.

Oh, and Geylang is probably the wrong place to find Viet hookers. Try Joo Chiat.

Good luck Mr Pham!

Missing for 2 years? How to find? Inside the belly of a hungry dog or shark?
