SINGAPORE: A passenger was injured in a bus accident early Friday morning.
Bus operator SMRT said at about 6.15am, Service 176 mounted the kerb and hit the roof of a bus stop along Jurong Town Hall Road, while travelling towards Bukit Panjang Interchange.
The bus crashed into two bollards at the bus stop.
The bus driver alerted SMRT's Bus Operations Control Centre, who immediately activated the police and SMRT's Field Team to assist passengers.
There were about 20 passengers on board the bus during the time of incident.
Paramedics were on site and attended to one passenger who sustained injuries.
The remaining passengers were transferred to another bus to continue their journey.
SMRT is assisting the police with investigations.
