Renown LA Times recent headlines say cooking with gas can cause cancer, sama sama like breathing in second hand cig smoke. Makes perfect sense to me. Because u can always smell the gas, even when the fire is on. Not all the benzene is burnt up. And lagi worse, sinkies use gas in small confined HDB flats.

Cooking with gas-fired stoves can expose people to unsafe levels of the chemical benzene, posing roughly the same cancer risk as breathing in secondhand cigarette smoke, according to a new study by researchers from Stanford University and nonprofit PSE Health Energy. Researchers also found that benzene moves beyond kitchens, reaching unhealthy levels in other rooms. The toxic conditions were even worse in small homes, suggesting health risks may be worse for lower-income families with less square footage.

most young families seldom cook at home. plus older folks with propane tanks and gas stoves turn them on to boil water or reheat leftover food. thus the sexposure is low as affordable meals are readily available within walking distance much of the day and night. this is unlike in the u.s. where older homeowners are stucked in their homes during cold winter and very hot summer seasons with little choice but to cook at home. younger folks tend to order food from grubhub, doordash, or ubereats. it’s a storm in a teacup as a small population is impacted (old folks and restaurant workers who are mostly illegal immigrants). moreover, it’s time to cull the elderly population as they sit at home waiting to die, doing nothing, and not selling their homes which contribute to lack of supply and a housing shortage. as for illegals cooking in commercial kitchens, it’s time to cull them too. only the woke politicians in d.c. are gung-ho about this non-issue to drum up support from a small group of elderlies who are suffering from cancer, minority and poor families who have very tiny kitchens, and migrant workers who elicit and entice sympathies from hispanic voters.
