Fat hope, You wont be offered rehire at 62 becos PSD insists your work performance must be good or better to be offered rehire... vs private sector's satisfactory work performance esp union represented companies. The partners of Tripartite Alliance of SNEF n NTUC have been taken for a ride////

Another double standard.......

In the past,the HDB retrenched their HDB staff (golden handshake )and then rehired them secretly at the same terms and conditions of employment.It seems a budget for the HDB golden handshake exercise was planned.Ditto for the recent SingTel staff retrenchment and relocation exercise.Where is the transparency,accountabiliy and liability in the corporate world ? What is the use of parroting about good governance or best practices when they don't practise what they preach ?

We locals spent so much time and effort getting a good education, going thru NS but ended up not able to get a decent job?
1) What's the purpose of studying so much which can't land us a job?
2) How to expect we locals to get married when we can't even sure that we can survive alone?
3) How to expect we locals to have kids when we can't even sure that one of the couple may lose his/her job to a FT?
4) How to have a roof over our head when we can't even sure that we still have a job to service the loan in the near future?

All these issues and anxieties are the brain child of non other than the MIW. Such FT policy only favors the Rich and Powerful people.
