<!-- end mm_moodcontainer div --> The man who was caught on video falling from a 3rd floor unit of Block 857 Jurong West last Saturday (July 24) had apparently tried to escape after being caught with a maid in a bedroom of the unit.

The man suffered head injuries as a result of his fall.

STOMPer Nurul had first sent in a video to STOMP, showing the man sitting down on the window ledge of the unit at about 2pm that day, before falling onto the ground at the foot of the block.

In her latest email yesterday (July 25), Nurul has sent in second video, showing the man being helped by SCDF officers after his fall.

According to The New Paper report, the man had been in the bedroom with the maid in her employers' flat on the third floor of the block when the employers suddenly returned home at 1pm, after cutting short their Johor Bahru shopping trip.

The employers said although the maid answered the door only after three rings of the doorbell, they did not expect anything, because she was a 'good girl'.

However, as one of her employers was changing in the master bedroom, he found a man hiding behind the curtains. The employer ran out of the room and tried to hold onto the door to prevent the man from escaping.

After calling the Police, he went into the room again, but found that the man had jumped off.

The man suffered head injuries.

Later, the maid told the Police she had fallen in love with the man just after a six-day courtship.

The Indonesian maid also said she was about to divorce her husband of four years. She has a three-year-old son.

She said the 'handsome man' promised to take care of her and her child.

Police said in response to STOMP query:

"Police received a call on July 24 at about 1.45pm, requiring Police assistance.

"Upon Police arrival, a 21-year-old male Indian was found lying on the ground floor with injuries.

"It was subsequently established that he had fallen from a unit at the same block."

A MAN who was caught in a master bedroom after a tryst with an Indonesian maid fell three storeys while escaping from the flat in Jurong West. He sustained head injuries and was hospitalised. The man's escape and fall at Block 857, Jurong West Street 81 last Saturday was caught on video by a reader of The Straits Times citizen journalism website STOMP.

The video by STOMPer Nurul shows the man sitting on a window ledge of the third floor unit at around 2pm. He then fell to ground and was rescued by officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The New Paper reported on Monday that he had earlier gone to the maid's flat while her employers were out shopping.

The employers returned unexpectedly and one of them spotted the man hiding behind the curtains in the bedroom and chased him, blocking his way to the door.
The man returned to the bedroom, while the flat owner rang the police, only to find the man had jumped from the window. The Indonesian maid later told police she was in love with the man, despite only knowing him for six days.

She has been married for four years and has a three-year-old son, but said she would divorce her husband for the new man.
Police told STOMP that they were alerted to the incident on Saturday afternoon. When they arrived at the scene they found a '21-year-old male Indian lying on the ground floor with injuries'.

On the first day, they exchanged pictures of themselves.

The next day, they exchanged promises of marriage.

On the sixth day, he ended up with a broken ankle and a broken heart.

The woman who stole his heart an Indonesian maid had asked him to jump from the window ledge of a third-storey flat in Block 857, Jurong West Street 81, after her employers came home suddenly, he claimed.

When The New Paper met the man in hospital yesterday, he had dark bruises under his eyes and his left ankle was swollen.

The pair were introduced by another maid, whom he had met in the neighbourhood.

They met for the first time on Saturday, the day of the incident.

He had suggested meeting Lis in the flat that day as her employers would be out.

In a separate interview on Sunday, Lis said that she didn't want to meet him outside because she was worried other people would see them.

Lis has been sent back to Indonesia, according to her employers.
