A man was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal on Wednesday for abetting another person to steal about $4.3 million worth of gold at Brink's Singapore.
Teo Wen Wei, 28, was originally accused of intentionally aiding Jonas Tan Tek Leng, then an employee of the company, to steal 70 pieces of gold at the company premises on June 30, 2012, by transporting the stolen property from Kaki Bukit Road 1 to Bedok South Avenue 2 and then to Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Brink's is one of Singapore's leading integrated providers for cash logistics and cash processing.
Tan is still at large.
