Man faces amended murder charge after victim dies from injuries

SINGAPORE: A man who was initially charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means now faces an amended charge of murder.
The 50-year-old accused had been arrested in connection with a case of a younger man who had sustained head injuries at Lorong 18 Geylang on January 14.
Police said the 35-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries and died at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Tuesday.
The accused will be charged with murder in court on Thursday. - CNA/nd
