Man charged over stabbing <!--10 min-->

AN UNEMPLOYED man was charged in a district court on Thursday with stabbing a neighbour.Foo Ho Jin, 60, is accused of grievously hurting Mr Shen Guan Hong, 50, by stabbing him on the left cheek and chest with a 12cm-long knife at the carpark between Block 78 and 80 Commonwealth Drive on Wednesday morning. Mr Shen has been warded at Alexandra Hospital.Foo was remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric assessment until Nov 12.If convicted of the offence, he can be jailed for up to life or a term which may extend to 15 years and liable to a fine.
