Man arrested for theft from vehicle

SINGAPORE - A man attempt to steal from a vehicle at an open-air carpark at Blk 188, Boon Lay Drive and was thwarted by the vehicle's owner.
The owner spotted the man entering his vehicle and called the police.
The police responded quickly enough to detain the man at the scene. Foreign currencies, cash cards and other valuables found in his possession were also seized as case exhibits.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect may be involved in other cases of theft from vehicles.
If found guilty, he can be jailed up to three years and face a possible fine as well.
