Man arrested for molesting woman on bus

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 42-year-old man believed to have molested a woman on board a bus from Woodlands Regional Interchange to Turf City.
A report by a female victim was received at about 9.40pm on December 21, 2012.
Officers from the Woodlands West NPC’s Crime Strike Force and Jurong Police Division initiated investigations to try and ascertain the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
The man was arrested this morning at about 6.30am near Fajar LRT station in the Bukit Panjang area.
He will be charged in Court on January 31 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he may be jailed up to 2 years, or fined. He will also be liable to caning.
