An odd-job worker took along his two young boys to steal from self-fix stores, a district court heard on Monday.
Rosezeli Omar, 44, had entered the Self Fix Store at White Sands shopping mall in Pasir Ris on May 18 last year with two children, aged around six or seven and two. The younger boy was in a pram.
He took several items worth $486 from a shelf and placed them in a bag which was in the pram and left the store without paying.
He later sold the five items such as padlocks and screwdrivers to unknown construction workers near Bedok and used the money for his own expenses.
