Man, 35, arrested over at least 28 cases of bicycle theft

SINGAPORE - A 35-year-old man suspected to be involved in at least 28 cases of bicycle theft reported between Sept 11 and Oct 25 was arrested on Saturday.
On Nov 8 at about 10.20 am, the suspect was arrested around New Upper Changi Road during a joint operation conducted by officers from the Public Transport Security Command and Police Land Divisions. A cutter and a spanner were seized during the arrest.
The police had identified the suspect after investigating reports of the bike thefts, going through surveillance camera footage and making ground enquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
