AN INDONESIAN maid who was charged last November with murdering her employer at Serangoon Gardens had used an assumed name and is in fact younger than 23. Vitria Depsi Wahyuni was brought to court on Thursday for her case to be mentioned. The 17-year-old was originally charged under the name Fitriah. She was nine days short of her 17th birthday when she allegedly caused the death of Madam Sng Gek Wah, 87, at Farleigh Avenue between 8pm on Nov 25 and 3.15am the next day. Her age was verified by the prosecution who tendered a letter from Interpol Indonesia. Vitria, represented by Mr Mohamed Muzammil Mohamed, was remanded at Changi Women's Prison for a child psychiatrist to examine her. She will be back in court on Feb 18.
