Boss jailed for molesting maid
A Singaporean man who molested his domestic worker was jailed for 10 months and ordered to be given three strokes of the cane on Monday.
Gerry Chan Cheow Kwang, 45, admitted to forcibly making the 25-year-old Indonesian maid masturbate him, touching her private parts and sucking her breasts at his condominium unit in Woodlands in Singapore on Aug 1, 2008.
The court heard that Chan, a project manager, had asked the maid to massage him that morning.
While she was massaging him, he pulled her towards him, lifted her T-shirt and brassiere, exposing her breasts.
Chan, married with three children, then squeezed and sucked her breasts.
When he tried to remove her shorts, she struggled and he molested her.
He threatened the victim that she would die if she did not comply with his demands. The victim reported to the police three days later.
