（更新內容）台北市中山區林森北路312號的錢櫃卡拉OK旗艦店，今早10時許發生大火。最新消息指7人被救出時已無生命迹象，其中5人送醫宣告不治、2人命危，另有7人昏迷；其餘32人意識清楚，分別送往馬偕、新光、台大醫院救治。網上亦流傳一段據指是樓層發生火警時的影片，見當時火光熊熊，但未見有人慌忙逃走。

21:12 大火發生後，其中一名女性傷者獲救後無呼吸心跳，送往馬偕醫院後不治死亡。由於她身上無相關證件，一度無法確認身份，直到晚上經警方查證後確認是36歲周姓女子。周女家屬趕到派出所時，情緒崩潰痛哭，家屬難過地表示，今天是周女的生日，所以跟朋友相約到錢櫃唱歌慶生，豈料一場大火，讓壽星遭逢死劫。

18:21 錢櫃發生大火，電梯相關工程被指是釀成火警的原因，但有施工工人表示，起火點在電梯「對角處」，大火與施工工程無關。據悉，施工工人今日在錢櫃5樓電梯井周邊施工，僅負責處理鋼筋混凝土結構，其餘均無動工。

15:15 針對有逃生者稱，卡拉OK內沒有警鐘、沒有灑水，台北市消防大隊第三大隊長王正雄表示，調查發現卡拉OK內的5項消防設備，包括排煙、灑水、消防警報、住警器、廣播系統全被關掉，這是嚴重人為疏忽，「也絕對違法」，將會調查是否由電梯工人關閉，並會追究相關單位責任。
同時，王正雄又表示，加裝電梯的申請，只有向台北市政府申請，未有向建管處、消防局等申報施工安全計劃。
15:00 錢櫃發表182字聲明回應這次火警，公司除對事件深表歉意，並表示目前第一要務是要協助救治傷者，使傷害降至最低，及協助死者家屬處理後事。公司一定會配合消防單位調查起火原因，「負起應負的責任，絕不推卸」。目前已經啟動內部緊急檢查，檢視消防設備及逃生設施，防止同類事件再次發生。

女員工表示，事發時正在9樓清潔包廂，沒聽到警鐘聲，灑水設備也沒有反應。她因為聽到其他同事大叫，才趕緊跑到同樓層一個大包廂，與客人共10多人用毛巾塞住門縫。雖曾嘗試打開逃生梯，但濃煙太大只好放棄，幸好消防員趕到敲門，他們才逃過一劫。

14:00 台北市消防局指出，至下午2時，已有7名傷者救出時無生命迹象，共51人送院，分別送往馬偕、台大、新光、台安及長庚等醫院救治，其中一名送往馬偕醫院的傷者搶救後不治。
13:30 有獲救者指，火警發生時卡拉OK內的警鐘沒響，沒有灑水，逃生門及窗戶都打不開。
據了解，卡拉OK位於一棟14樓高建築物內，起火位置在5樓，初時現場消息指在7樓最少有24人被困，6樓還有工作人員。台北市消防局則稱，接報後已派53部消防車，共139人搶救。現場亦有人在窗邊大喊：「救命。」甚至想跳樓逃生，現場還有很多顧客還沒出來。台北市副市長黃珊珊事發後趕往現場，根據了解，事發時5樓正進行電梯加裝工程。
有獲救者驚嚇哭泣，有些則紛紛趕緊致電家人報平安，不少人臉上還留有濃煙燻黑的痕迹。由於卡拉OK無法掌握現場人數，消防員要逐一詢問逃出火場的民眾，了解火警發生時7至9樓多個包廂內都有人在唱歌，多人在6樓後側廚房待救。
警方表示，目前已請消防當局，檢查大廈是否有安裝火警警報器，及火警發報器是否有啟動，消防則表示，卡拉OK在3月30日曾進行安全檢查，結果合格。
台灣因為武漢肺炎疫情，中央流行疫情指揮中心要求酒店、舞廳等娛樂場所停業，不過，包括錢櫃在內的多間連鎖卡拉OK，主動調整包廂可容納人數，配合社交距離，同時要求顧客戴口罩。

台北市林森錢櫃KTV昨(26)上午發生大火，至少造成5人死亡，目前起火原因仍在調查，但可以確定的是，消防局證實，錢櫃在施工當時確定關掉5大消防設備，導致火警當下，該運作的警鈴、灑水設備通通沒有啟動。而錢櫃的公安問題浮出檯面後，錢櫃北市其他分店，昨（26）天晚上生意明顯受影響，其中位在東區的忠孝錢櫃，從晚間10點半往後1個半小時，進出的顧客僅3~4人。

根據《ETtoday》報導，從晚間10：30開始，90分鐘內僅有3～4個客人上門，而門口的攤販表示，原本武漢肺炎的疫情，上門唱歌的人減少很多，也連帶影響自己生意，現在錢櫃林森店又發生大火，來唱歌的人比以前更少了。
而另一名從錢櫃離開的的女客人說，因為早就約好了，不得已才赴約，但自己進入包廂時，有特別注意「疏散路線圖」，也比預期的時間早離開包廂。
