Taipei, Nov. 14 (CNA) The head of the Justice Ministry's Agency of Corrections offered his resignation Friday to take responsibility for the alleged corruption of a prison warden.
Justice Minister Luo Ying-shay will decide whether to accept agency head Wu Shyan-chang's resignation by midnight, the ministry said.
Wu's move follows allegations that Lyudao Prison Warden Su Ching-chun apparently took bribes from prisoners in his previous post as the vice warden of Taipei Prison.
Su and another five officials were taken into custody Thursday.
