Neither the NEA nor the government and it's ministers is able to convincingly explain the entire scenario. Sure, VB made an aggressive speech that challenged WP's integrity, yet at no point in his speech was he able to answer to the points WP raised. He just went on the attack from the start, insisting that he is right, and repeating his statement over and over again. No finesse at all, these days the only requisite of a cabinet minister is you must be able to outtalk the opposition by repeating you singular narrow point over and over again.

Fact 1: Money was collected from another hawker centre for the same job done while PAP constituency gets it for free.
Fact 2: WP tried to collect money again from this group of Hawkers for the same job. U can try to argue about this but the fact that they had done it before shows the Hawkers were not lying
Fact 3: If that doesn't convince you, Faisal, a WP MP personally wrote to AHPETC to ask them to waive off the payment
Fact 4: The Hawkers were the ones who complain to NEA, not NEA or government finding trouble with WP
Fact 5: Hawkers refused to pay WP didn't clean the ceiling
Fact 6: Throughout the entire 3 months, WP claimed they did not asked for payment which contradicts Fact 1, 2 and 3 easily proving that they were lying.

Fact 8: To add onto Fact 6, Spring Cleaning needs to be done once a year. The last Spring cleaning was done in March the previous year. Incident happened in March 1 year later. WP later claim Spring cleaning was to be moved to October, a full 18 months after the previous one. Coincident? I think not
Fact 9: If this was not an annual cleaning, why did they tell the hawkers to close their stall for so long?
