After watching/reading the MSM, this is my conclusion. What say you?

A lot of voters don’t get this election, its not about US or even the OPP…. why the swarm of ex civil this or top scholars that joining the OPP??

This GE is a stage democracy . Let Voters think they are voting for change . But we are all pawns in their Power And Play .

The man who is going to be the next PM designate is Heng Swee Kiat. He turns 50 this year and has done all necessary stints including PPS, PS etc. He had to be persuaded to stand on a number of occasion. There is no one else that can hold a candle to this guy including tweedle dee and tweedle dum from SAF. He is in the same batch as Viv, Chen, Menon, Tay, Lui and he stands head and shoulders above all of them. He does not have any faction in the PAP and is not known for partisanship. This guy is cleaner than all. The only problem is that he is not PAP and PAP is not him. It will be interesting to see how he turns PAP on his head. Tharman and GY were not known for partisan politics. This is the 3rd guy. Tharman was talent spotted by LHL while GCT spotted Heng. Both went to MAS.

The various PAP factions better start looking for a real job. Pork Barrel politics, painting the same fence every year in HDB estates, the cleaning contracts, the hawkers stalls, the special HDB flats, the special parking places will all go.

which ever way u look at it...quite apparent that there is a big internal power struggle going on in PAP...which surprisingly is being played out during the GE period itself...which perhaps indicates how serious the fight is behind the scenes...obviously this has to do wif harry being in his last stages...harry is now physically weak, no doubt abt it...also really spoiling it for his son n pap at times in the last few mths...naturally more spotlight during the GE period...

it is clear that GCT is singing fm a different hymn bk compared to LHL n in full public view...the 2 term minister duration comment n fanning heat under WKS viz mas selamat speaks volumes...more so going by LHL n WKS' public rebuttals agst GCT...i mean why r they wasting time fighting each in public during the GE when all of paps' guns sld be focused on the Oppo instead particularly since this is the strongest Oppo to contest since independance?...v strange n curious...ironically i suspect that both GCT n WKS r secretly hoping upon hope that each other's GRC shall fall...no prizes for guessing which party LHL shall be rooting for...same goes for the fall of Aljunied...perhaps harry made a freudian slip when he all but conceded Aljunied wif the secret blessings of his son??...

Not that I am pro-PAP, but I agree with [scroobal] that Heng Swee Keat is the individual whom Singapore needs. If he does not become elected as an MP, I suggest MAS should re-hire him. He is too good to lose.

Heng, I agree, is a more accomplished and, personally, acceptable PM candidate than the 2 generals.

But as you put it, he's a GY and Tharman. These are technocrats, they lack a bite and they lack political ambition.

LKY will be gone by the next election. LSL may have one more election before he retires. Can you see Heng scratching and clawing his way to the top, with or without LSL's support?

Putting the other 4th generation candidates like the 2 generals aside, can you see Heng outmanuveuring the untalented but ambitious Vivian or the talented and ambitious NEH? Those are about the same age.

Without sufficient ambition, Heng may go no better than DPM or FM....just another Tharman then.
