Indonesian footballer Akli Fairuz dies after horror tackle

Indonesian Premier League footballer Akli Fairuz has died after sustaining injuries from a tackle with a goalkeeper.
Fairuz, a striker for Indonesian club Persiraja, was contesting the ball when he collided with PSAP Sigli goalkeeper Agus Rahman during the May 10 match. Rahman had charged in with his studs raised.
Following the tackle, his outraged teammates approached the referee and erupted into a fight with the opposition.
Despite being substituted and watching the remainder of the game from the sideline, Fairuz's condition worsened and he was admitted to hospital.
Fairuz suffered bladder leakage and underwent surgery but died from internal injuries six days after the match, on May 16.
It is not yet known whether Rahman will face any sanctions.
