Human tail debunked creationist myths

Human embryos form a tail! Unlike the vast majority of vertebrates, humans don't have tails (& neither do chimps, bonobos, gorillas, or orangutans, our 4 closest living relatives!), yet we form one in embryonic development, just to have it largely resorbed & fused to form our coccyx. Human embryos also start off with the eyes on the side of the head, like the eyes of adult and embryonic fish; our eyes must migrate toward the front of the face to end up in the human-appropriate location. Human embryos also start off with a very fishlike arrangement of aortae & aortic arches, which then require much remodeling to arrive at an arrangement appropriate for humans. Also, human embryos form fishlike pharyngeal arches, & even pharyngeal slits transiently.

The tailbone, is the remnant of a lost tail. All mammals have a tail at one point in their development; in humans, it is present for a period of 4 weeks, during stages 14 to 22 of human embryogenesis. This tail is most prominent in human embryos 31–35 days old. The tailbone, located at the end of the spine, has lost its original function in assisting balance and mobility, though it still serves some secondary functions, such as being an attachment point for muscles, which explains why it has not degraded further.

In rare cases congenital defect results in a short tail-like structure being present at birth. Twenty-three cases of human babies born with such a structure have been reported in the medical literature since 1884.

Evolution is real and observable!

Its a rare medical condition, why call it a tail bone or evolution in action? It's just begging the question.

What a layman view. It is the DNA remnant of what was once a human tail. Are you trained in biology? If not, no point for me to engage further with you in a discussion which is a very specialised field. When I go in depth on gnome sequence and junk DNA, you would assume it is useless dna. I welcome any bro with background in biology to discuss further with me.

How would biology tell you that this was once a human tail? This is more belief than biology.

Whoa! Your opinion is sooo professionally grounded that everyone would stand up to applause and cheer you..................

You would too, if you weren't so abysmally ignorant.

Wow! So what is your professional knowledge on ramnant DNA and gnome sequence before you made the jiao way? In simple English, what you know about them before the post?

What do YOU know?

Is the village atheist a professional in biology, chemistry, archeaology, theology, language, physics, astronomy, thermodynamics, paleontology etc? If not, why is he asking?

Discerning people know when a subject is a matter of science, history, theology, or belief. Discerning people also do not easily get intimidated by people who think they can talk down on you because they boast they have science qualifications. All you need is to show them that the subject is not necessarily about science so don't couch it in scientfic jargon and push your supposed credentials down people's throats. The idea that we come from ape-like creatures in the distant unobservable past is not science but belief. It's not even biology. Betcha can't see that.

Why are you acting like all in one professional in biology, chemistry, archeaology, theology, language, physics, astronomy, thermodynamics, paleontology etc?

 Are you a medical professional? How do you know it is a medical condition? You do research? You read medical journal?

 Or, just your imagination without any ground?

 Or, by faith and preference?

 Or maybe, if you not a real medical professional but acting like one here, can you cut and paste something from a authority source that says it is a medical condition?

Please for god sake, substantiate yourself! No everyone is like you still living in the christain superstitious dark age where people believed disease is caused by evil spirit.

Am I?

I am not professional but neither am I ignorant. Can't say the same for proven abysmally ignorant village atheist.

Abysmally ignorant village atheist failed to read. Second post got this line you missed "In rare cases congenital defect results in a short tail-like structure being present at birth. Twenty-three cases of human babies born with such a structure have been reported in the medical literature since 1884."

Why report in medical literature if it is not considered a medical condition? Can the village atheist think?

Gong CB, I am asking for proof of your version! Everything I need to explain to you maciam a 3 years old kid, you are really fucking gong. Gong CB! Cannot find anything from your creation journal?

The grounds of the TS version in case you missed....

Gong cheebye has no creationist backup.... whahaha!

Says who? Got 4 real scientists coming this Saturday. That's not backup, that's taking the offensive and village atheist is just giving excuses and all kind of crap reasons not to go. Next he will say he is pregnant and due for delivery this Saturday!
