Extract from page 189, "Market Wizards", Chapter: Larry Hite:

I have two basic rules about winning in trading as well as in life:

(1) If you don't bet, you can't win.
(2) If you lose all your chips, you can't bet.

CPF is also an investment... most Singaporeans are forced by law to invest in it.

There are those who call it a tax.
I prefer to call it a loan, whereby the interest rate and terms of repayment are unilaterally decided by them.
Deciding the terms of repayment unilaterally could also mean that there is no repayment. :rolleyes:

:eek: my best performing asset class in 2013, turns out to be my CPF SA account

Good luck with that, the returns cannot be seen. One fine day, 20 years down the road, they might just come clean and tell us they can only pay us 10 cents on the dollar in our CPF.

I just wanna illustrate the lacklustre performance of my humble portfolio.

did you make or lose?:o:biggrin:

My investment for year 2013 was a total failure :
1) invest in soccer = lost
2) invest in casino = lost
3) invest in horse = lost
4) invest in friendship = lost
5) rolled my earnings in FD for the above 3 all lost
6) invest in courtship to tackle girl also lost
7) invest time in work also lost, all credits went to FTs,

hopefully year 2016 is a better year for me :(

So how much did you overall net lost for your soccer bets for this 2013 ONE YEAR ONLY?

for horse and soccer i didn't keep a good record, i estimate it to be $5-6k each about there

for casino i kept a record :

6 visits of 4 success , overall still lost.

1st visit = lost $3k
2nd = won $1.6k
3rd = won $1.5k
4th = won 1.6k
5th = lost $6k
6th = won $1k

The 5th biggest lost was orginally winning $1k, so that was a lesson learnt that chasing lost is disastrous
