Last September, Mr Vadi Valuoo Vasudeva, chief steward at the Raffles Town Club, was found dead in the club kitchen's cold room.
At a coroner's inquiry yesterday, which was adjourned after an hour, the authorities were no closer to solving the mystery of why he was in the cold room and why he was unable to get out.
Investigators told the court that the door to the cold room was not faulty, nor were there any marks that indicated tampering.
The police ruled out the possibility of foul play. There was also no evidence of Mr Vadi Valuoo being involved in any disputes or signs of it being a suicide.
