THE Government is studying how to use underground space for future development.

Senior Minister of State for National Development Grace Fu said on Monday the Government should invest in the creation of new land and space.

'Just as Singapore has reclaimed land in advance to support economic growth in the past, our subcommittee recommends that the government acts early to catalyse the development of underground space,' she said at a press conference at which the Economic Strategies Committee released its report.

The Government could create land banks - underground land bank, especially around our rail system, she added.

'Also, we would like to develop an underground masterplan to ensure that underground and above ground spaces are synergised and optimised so that we have more space for Singaporeans and give the sense of space to Singaporeans.'

To achieve this, the Government will set up a National Geology Office to collate underground information and also develope a subterranean legal and valuation framework that will benefit both the private and public sector efforts in underground development, said Ms Fu.

They must be out of their FUCKING MINDS to even consider DIGGING deep deep, and build accomodations UNDERGROUND???

if land is what they are after, they could perhaps consider building MEGA STRUCTURES, what the ones we see in JUDGE DRED (acted by Sylvester Stalone)... where each MEGA BUILDING is a CITY by itself, and we can have BLOCK WARS, and JUDGE DRED moving around...

with the kind of money HDB is making, KNN, building super structures, lagi even more profitable.

And with advancement of technology, people could work at homes, using computers, telecommunications devices, and get connected to the office.

Or another way is to export Singaporeans, the talented ones to be exported.

Man, the committee is going crazy... thinking of building UNDERGROUND Accomodations... or are they preparing for WORLD WAR III???
