of course not,we find that 12 out of 13 of the richest most developed oecd western nations have very low level of religion and high levels of atheism.and many of those countries are highly socialist in nature,like norway,finland,sweden,belgium,denmark.

and countries that are highly religious like Singapore and America and philipines,with 70 to 90 percent rate of religious belief tend to be very very high GINI and far right.

Interestingly, Jesus was definitely a socialist (if the Gospels are accurate), but the vast majority of devout Christians (esp. the Protestants) are right-wing conservative capitalists and decidedly anti-socialist.

It is a fact that the most secular countries (northern Europe & Scandinavia) are also the most egalitarian and socialist.
