Gamblers all losers as cops raid house

SANDAKAN: A Chinese New Year gambling session ended with heavy losses for six people after police raided a house in this Sabah east coast district and arrested them on Sunday.

The raid on the house, some 14km from downtown Sandakan, was part of the police crackdown against illegal gambling.

Three men and three women, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested by a police team at about 4pm.

Police also seized gambling paraphernalia and RM2,000 in cash.

The six of them were taken to the police station for questioning.
