There are many places still at Ten bugs, the choice is yours.
If you are into Quick haircuts every week or 2 like me, you still have few options available.
Malay barbers are expensive, I don't know why. And I avoid Indian barbers for my personal hygiene. I came across few Salons run by Chinese in Hou gang and Tampines East, charge only $2 if you take the package of $50 (for 25 visits).

I asked the owner why his prices are so competitive, he said to attract more regular customers for sustainable business.
Salon is clean and modest as well.

My regular hairdresser is there. Have been going there for the past 4 years.
Go to JB salons. Wash, blow dry, cut and style only RM50 ($15)
Not everyone likes to be tied down to one barber, or sign up for a package/membership like what the various Tiong hair salons are doing.
JB got cut hair on big and small head for 50 ringgit include wash.
Pour kerosene on your head and light a match. That will be the most economical haircut.
My neighbourhood jhb lao aunty barber charge $4.80 for a haircut. But no standard type. I dont mind since i dont have much hair left, any cheapo haircut will do for me
I miss the outdoor barber uncle at Aliwal Street. $6 but his standards were good.
SAF barber is the cheapest. Every month just pay $2. Can go to that old fart uncle barber for unlimited haircuts.
If you pay extra, they can blow the other part of your body too.

I would pay extra for my pubic hair to be trimmed.
We need value added services at barber shops e.g. ear digging, nose hair cutting, head and neck massage.
