A foreign Indian national who was driving a private ambulance that crashed into a middle divider at Clementi Road (outside Maju camp) last week (20 Nov), was found to be using a fake driving license.
Witnesses said the ambulance was on its way to a hospital when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Three people were rushed to hospital – one of them is a paramedic while the other two were passengers. They were inside the ambulance when it crashed.
After crashing the ambulance, the Indian “foreign talent” immediately fled the scene.
67-year-old Chai Ai Li who was being ferried in that ambulance to go for her kidney dialysis, suffered internal bleeding and nine fractured ribs due to the accident. She died two days later. Her husband who was accompanying her in the ambulance escaped with injuries.
Mdm Chai needed to travel via private ambulance to the dialysis centre for her treatment 3 times a week, due to her frail stature. The ambulance was said to be traveling at up to 90 kilometres per hour at the time of the accident.
The Indian national has since been apprehended and found to be carrying a fake driving license all these while.

Fake license, Fake Degree, Fake Diplma, Fake Doctor, everything is available in Phillipines, China.........no hiding...they have stores, with signs....every fake available.......Singapore is already full of all the fake...........you get caught too bad......you don't get caught....continue making money. When was the last time people like LKY took an ambulance driven by a FT I'll bet that the SIA flight he & his wife took back to Spore was flown by an experienced Sporean or an angmo.

Unfortunately it's the "lesser mortals" who are more vulnerable because we are likely to be walking the streets, take the buses, trains,....
Spore is getting to be a very dangerous place. You can be hit by bicycles while walking on pedestrian path ways, by errant Ferrari drivers, careless bus drivers,.... or abused in our own hospitals :(

the ambulance service boss was interviewed and claimed the driver is an ex-con given a 2nd chance ala yellow ribbon.
