A public spirited father and son duo's tip-off led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man on Friday evening for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
The duo were on their way home at about 7.40pm when they entered the lift with the young man, who they noted was not a resident.
They continued to keep track of his actions upon reaching home, and realised that he was loitering suspiciously outside their unit.
When they confronted him, he was unable to account for his behaviour. The two men promptly detained him and called the police.
Officers later found that the man was carrying items such as a mobile phone and notebook containing debtors' records.
