You're right and I apologise.
At times I rant because I can't believe people believe in the things they believe in. You can believe in something you don't see, like air. But if you believe air has to be breathed in by the belly button and not by the nose, that's another matter. There are a lot more reasons why I chose my faith, of course.

well said, many did not know of these 3 clean meat rules. this is the proper buddhism teaching and it has logics (with many stories in sutta) behind why strict vegetarian is not a must but merely a personal choice.

in this case the stupid chicken whether the nun there a not already up lorry, it got nothing to do with the nun. UNLESS the nun visit kfc, order a chickenwing, kfc killed the chicken on the spot and make her the chicken wing. then such meat are not suitable for her to consume. this is rather complex for those who never heard of it before

Why bash China or even communism over an alleged fake nun? She ate at KFC so openly simply means she is not a vegetarian and she is not bothered at all over other people's reaction. Those who've been in Thailand and seen Theravada Buddhism in practice knows there's nothing wrong with eating meat.
Anyway, I'd prefer monks who eat meat, walk in sandals than monks who wear Rolex and drive Mercedes. I'd prefer monks who accept an offer of ciggie and smoke than monks who live in condos stocked with pornos.

So, they are showing them the finger licking good taste of kfc, up those nuns in communist china, who only can eat tasteless vege. singapore is like a mini communist china now, so best place to piss the communist.
There is nothing to apologise to start with. I am just concern that choosing the right faith is crucial to ones direction in life. Even if you are an atheist, there is also an ahteist faith and one has to believe it is true to put in commitment. The most important thing is that you find peace through your faith.
I would not call the chicken stupid, it has no choice when it was born into this world. Even if it is not killed on the spot, it is still indirectly link to the nun on its death, although in this case the link is relatively weak.
