Eng Kong Garden thieves caught

THREE youths aged between 17 and 19 years old were arrested for suspected involvement in a series of theft from vehicle cases at Eng Kong Garden estate on Wednesday. At least five cases of theft from vehicles were reported in the area between Aug 21 and Aug 24. Stolen items totalled $1,800 and included cash cards and a digital camera.
The police managed to establish the identity of one of the suspects through extensive investigation, leading to the first arrest at 6pm on Wednesday at Dover Crescent. Following the arrest of the first suspect, the other two were soon caught at Cheng Soon Gardens and Chun Tin Road at about 8pm and 1am respectively.
The three suspects are believed to be involved in at least five cases of theft from vehicle in the Eng Kong Garden estate area. They will be charged in court on Friday.
