警方表示，昨午4時16分，新蒲崗廣場停車場一名66歲姓何的保安員，巡邏時發現一部泊在車場內的私家車起火，於是報警求助。消防員接報到場將火救熄，火警中無人受傷，並無疏散，而起火原因亦無可疑。
根據外電報道，2013年至今，全球至少14宗Tesla起火個案，在內地至少發生4宗自焚，而最近一宗則是上月底在上海徐匯區地下停車場發生，一輛Tesla私家車在沒有充電的情況下，突然自焚爆炸，火勢更波及車旁的三輛私家車，樓上住戶需緊急疏散。

【星島日報報道】一名46歲持「學」牌的男司機，凌晨駕駛一輛七人車，於青葵公路衝過警方路障，以高達180公里的車速狂飆30公里，於深井撞欄後棄車逃走，再混入人群企圖掩人耳目，最終被警方認出衣著拘捕，並控以8宗罪。
新界南總區交通部執行及管制組特遣隊警員進行代號「QUICKCHASER」反非法賽車及反酒後駕駛行動，凌晨2時於青葵公路往機場方向設置路障，期間要求一輛銀色七人車在路障停下接受檢查，七人車突然加速駛走，令一名警員受傷。
警員逐展開追截，七人車經由長青隧道駛上青嶼幹線，期間懷疑超速行駛。七人車駛過收費廣場後，在神奇道迴旋處調頭，沿青嶼幹線往九龍方向行駛，再駛入屯門公路，再經由支路駛入青山公路，期間曾逆線行駛，並於青山公路深井段48號外失控撞欄，鏟上行人路停下。46歲司機逃離車廂，警員上前追截並將他拘捕。據悉，司機曾躲進附近的陳記商業中心 ，再折返現場混入圍觀人群，但被警員憑其衣著識破。司機被捕後聲稱，七人車屬於友人，對方交託他代為出售。
警員經初步調查，司機涉嫌「瘋狂駕駛」、「擅自取去交通工具」、「在無第三者保險下駕駛」、「沒有展示學牌駕駛」、「在非學習時段內駕駛」、「駕駛時沒有導師」、「駕駛時沒有有效行車證」及「學牌在快速公路上駕駛」被捕。而手部受傷的男警清醒送仁濟醫院治理。

昨日（13日）晚上11時許，新界北總區交通部執行及管制組特遣隊正進行代號「火炬」的打擊非法賽車行動，期間警員於上水寶石湖路向一輛汽車發出告票之際，發現有一輛七人車沿慢線向馬會道行駛，該車死氣喉發出隆然巨響，而車胎及車身等多處疑有非法改裝，更認出早前曾被追截，但終被其擺脫。警員遂立即登上警車追磫，期間警車上的自動車牌識別系統測到七人車行車證已逾期2年，當時車上僅司機一人，於是不動聲色尾隨。
當七人車駛至彩園路交界遇上交通燈停車，左旁中線有一輛的士，警員伺機由快線抽頭而出，駛至其前方打橫攔擋，由一名姓張高級警員落車示意司機熄匙及接受調查，詎料有人不合作，突關上車窗，將警員手部夾着，期間更開車逃走，猛撞向警車尾部，警員連忙將手拉出，亦被七人車撞及，警員負傷用警棍猛扑玻璃窗喝止。
此時，七人車司機不肯就範，連番將車駛前退後企圖突圍，並撞及的士，姓黃（45歲）司機無受傷。未幾，「隱形戰車」等多輛警車增援而至，多名警員合力打破車窗，將司機拖出車外制服，揭發他持有學習駕駛牌，並已過期，即將他拘捕，受傷高級警員需送院治理。
