A bar housed along one of many watering holes on Prinsep Street dealt with ill-mannered customers recently.

SMOObar yesterday posted surveillance footage of an incident involving four guests who left without paying their S$275 bill on Saturday night.
“Then bill amount is $275, which is not a small amount, neither a huge sum. However, as business costs are rising, with rental and stock payments increasing, this amount is SIGNIFICANT for us as an F&B ESTABLISHMENT,” they wrote.

The bar said they gave them the benefit of doubt when the group requested to hold the bill and leave it on their table to settle later but they didn’t.
It could also be “accidental” as they might have forgotten about paying, the bar added.
The post is said to be removed once the matter has been settled with the intention to not “shame” the guests despite the bar posting the surveillance footage of them entering and leaving the bar and multiple screenshots of their faces closeup.

“If you know the involved parties or if the involved parties have seen this post, we seek your help to contact us IMMEDIATELY,” the bar said, adding that they will be more strict to avoid future incidents.
