Am quite sure there will be enhanced security at the event. Things aren't rosy for Desmond but he still giggles when he sees his salary.

Wow fantastic job, I wish all employees can hold big talks to tell everyone they achieved what they are simply paid to do. Nothing more nothing less.

Being paid millions he better show that he has turned the company around. So why hold a talk, aren't you paid millions to handle challenges? Or he thought he is supposed to be paid millions to Jia Liao Bee.

Desmond is a great CEO. Under him, SMRT share price rallied over the past one year and SMRT recently got to cull two unqualified technician trainees.

Honestly Desmond shld quit n run for by election in BB.

If Desmond ran under the PAP flag, he is a shoo-in to be the next MP. Till today and despite all the train breakdowns and Hep C outbreak, people still have more confidence in PAP than SDP. PAP is still seen as the party with experience and reliability, while SDP is now treated like some inexperience kid out fresh out of school demanding a job with huge responsibilities. Sinkies are scared and don't have faith in them.

When you have a law that prevents union workers from essential services from going on strike, the army style management of Desmond Kuek could not have fit the CEO of SMRT better.

Bestest is to have Khaw BW do this demonstration while carrying a placard detailing all the milestones he has achieved since he became transport ministar.
