Peter Wesolowski also smacked a woman’s bottom and asked a nurse if she lost had her virginity on a weekend away whilst a patient was undergoing treatment, it was claimed. Wesolowski faces six counts alleging unprofessional behaviour and nine of failing to provide adequate treatment.

It is also claimed he racially abused the owner of the practice, A A Govani and Associates, in Leicester, in front of colleagues whilst he worked there between 2002 and 2009. Speaking via a video link from Ibiza, one former patient recounted how Wesolowski had touched her backside during a visit to his surgery for treatment as she walked into the room. “Whether that was an accident or not I do not know, but he was very friendly,” she said.

The woman said that five fillings she had in six years developed abscesses and needed expensive root canal surgery to fix.
Another witness told the hearing that she had her bottom smacked by Wesolowski, who now works in Australia, and that he often brushed her chest during dental work. Malcolm Fortune, defending Wesolowski, suggested that he may have been struggling to adapt to the set up of the surgery because he was left handed. The General Dental Council hearing continues.
