Charged with sexual bribery

A VOLUNTEER Special Constabulary corporal was charged in court on Thursday with trying to get sexual bribes from three Chinese nationals. Ivan Ng Wan Fu, 26, was attached to the Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre when he corruptly attempted to get a bribe in the form of sex from Ms Zhu Lin for not arresting her for suspected vice-related activities in December 2007.
Two months later, he allegedly accepted $108 from her in return for having tipped her off on impending police raids. He is also said to have similarly tried to get sexual bribes from Ms You Junhong in Lorong 14 Geylang in May 2007, and from Ms Zhang Wei in September that year. Ng's case was adjourned for a week for him to engage a lawyer. If convicted of corruption, he can be fined up to $100,000 and/or jailed for up to five years on each charge.
