Cleaner tries to alert bus driver, but...

He waved and shouted frantically at the bus driver, trying to get him to stop, to no avail.
Instead, the driver got upset and gestured with his hands to ask what Mr Amirudin Salim wanted.
But by then, it was too late.
The pedestrian who had been hit was now pinned under the bus' rear wheels.
The bus driver, who was making a right turn from Geylang Lorong 14 onto Talma Road yesterday morning, apparently didn't even know he had knocked down the man until Mr Amirudin, a cleaner, told him.
The driver, who was visibly confused, was later arrested by police.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
