japan is the 2nd largest world economy(according to stats many years ago), if they fight, the whole world will be affected. unlikely, when i was in china, in shanghai, not all chinese are against the jap especially the gen X and Y, it's only the ah kong generation is still grudging against the jap. it seems the media over-portray the whole china against the jap, there are also many manufacturing plants in china, more likely the chinese are mind fucking the jap. i dislike the fact that the nihon leaders still paying respect to their world war 2 leaders which make them look not remorseful of what they have done. on the other hand, the japs and like the germans are trying to make amendments for what they have done in world war 2.

no armed conflict. big wayang as always. when China leadership change and Japan election over, this issue will quiet down.

the Japanese leaders officially never said sorry and only expressed regrets over ww2. that's why the Chinese and Korean are so angry over it.
the Chinese Communist staged the Lugouqiao incident. the Chinese 29th Army highest rank commanders consisted of many pro Japanese and Chinese Communist agents. the Communist had fully infiltrated the ranks of the 29th Army from the highest to lowest, their objective was to provoke an armed conflict between China and Japan under direct orders from Russia GRU ( foreign intelligence agency ).

The fact that verbal and character attacks on China had increased in the past couple of years, even from closely associated territories like Hongkong and Singapore has made the Chinese people a more nationalist lot, something never seen for a long time. This cannot be disregarded.

Singaporeans and Hong Kongers have never considered themselves as comrades to the mainlanders. More of, they think themselves as different and better.

Yup, it is a 'face' issue thing with the Japanese. It will look malu on them to kowtow and say sorry. That said, they did compensate in monetary terms to both nations.

Spot on for the CCP fact.

Young Chinese are too busy watching JAV and anime to get angry with Japan. Young Japanese are too busy to argue with Korea for Dokdo because they are busy ogling at the legs of SNSD. :p

the japanese are a proud people
they will never dishonour their dead heroes
and they will never say sorry to their enemies
it was an honourable war to them
but others it was a massacre and an a gigantic asian rape
of astronomical proportions unforgiveable in history...

First Sony got into trouble and planned to pull out from the TV business, a market they once dominated. Now Sharp is mortgaging its property assets to borrow money from banks to cover losses. Are the automobile manufacturers next? When it comes to business process re-engineering, the Japs are not very good. They do well in one thing. They know how to struggle.

The consumers in USA can never save them. US has its own problem. US needs their own consumers to buy locally made goods. It is time for the Japanese to look for new markets. The new markets are there. China's 12th Five Year Plan have started a restructuring exercise to move the economy from an export driven to a demand driven economy. The other Asian economies - Korea, Taiwan and South East Asia had grown in wealth and are now credible size markets. The time is ripe for Japan to make a tactical switch. But Japan is plighted with a tradition of money politics. You can change the players but It is very difficult to change the political mentality.

This is beside the point. The Chinese has now a siege mentality and should not be provoked.

let them have a long & protracted fight, than manufacturing & industry can go to other countries, their lost, our gain!

This is the best outcome which I've been longing for, and better still with those chow Koreans be involved as well. Their loss is our gain.
