It is really disturbing to read the heartless comments about this man's death.

I guess just as there are warm and caring hearts there are also those made of stone and ice

Get a job, you lazy piece of shit !!

Do not try to kid yourself anymore, you laggard !

This one is really a low blow Makapaaa. The man's body is hardly cold and you attack him in such a twisted way. Just let him RIP

Low blow? I think Makapaa has a valid point. Why pay the guy when he did add value?

NS man got injured in camp and became bedridden, yet SAF wanted to deny him compensation. Many bread winners of poor families got retrenched & replaced by foreigners and several were driven to suicide.

Double standards?

RETRIBUTION.
Nobody in MIW ever believed in retribution.
But when retribution strikes, too late to do anything.

Have any of you posting these chek ark comments about retribution have had a family member or relative or friend who has been struck down with cancer?

I find it very unlikely. Cancer is one of the top, if not the top, cause of death.

I don't think most of you are young pre-teens given the language and knowledge shown, so why the emotional immaturity?

Even if he exercised poor judgment as CEO, that is assuming he did, is it right to say "retribution"?

So all of you who have hardworking parents or spouses or relatives or friends with cancer, all retribution?

Please, may the more sound-minded people speak up.

This is what Makapaa said

What for when he can get it FOC in Sg, courtesy of cost savings from axing Sporns and $ conned from lau aunties and uncles. The Papaya dogs even justified giving him $5.5M for 8 months of chor boh lan

Is the despicable insinuation about Rich's medical care costs "valid"?

As for his pay, that was his contract entitlement, not happy go take it up at the next DBS AGM...in any event before Rich became ill are you claiming that he did not perform his job competently and if so what is your justification?

Porfirio, somebody here don't like you and I'm not talking about these three white pussies here. Of course he'll be disappointed cause you are not the kind who will retaliate the way like I often will. Any way to all, when this type of attack comes at you stay away from all the sex with mother stuff, if not someone will delete all your posts, good as banning you in fact! Curious thing is whenever one gets banned, the one who kept doing the provocating is left off the hook! Something to keep in mind!

realistically...who cares? you don't even fucking know him.

even if you are a DBS employee, and you die of leukaemia, you'd think this Richard Stanley CEO gives a shit about you? he is a CEO, you are probably just another ground staff. why would he be the least bothered.

so effectively, the same applies. I don't think for one minute any of the DBS staff really gives a damn about his demise.

He should have resigned his job as CEO and paid for his medical costs out of his own pockets. IMHO, although it was his entitlement, it did not make it right morally and economically.

Would DBS pay the salary and medical fee for a lowly staff suffering from cancer indefinitely?

Sorry if this doesn't square with you but this is what the elites have taught me.

Hey I think I owe you an apology Bro.

Was talking about this issue with some medico friends of mine today and they were of the view that in Rich's case he would probably have been better off getting ALL his medical care and treatment at a top States hospital like Standford, Mayo, Sloan Kettering, Mass Gen etc...apparently Rich's leukemia requires constant skilled treatment and oversight, something that is perhaps still lacking in Singapore...

My friend, if money is no object and you have a serious illness, ANYONE would seek the best medical help possible. Have our leaders not shown the way? Were they treated here or overseas?

On the issue of medical care costs...this would probably have already been factored in at the start of Rich's contract, quite standard HR issue for management executives not just the top executives...moreover this would probably be covered by the company's health insurance policy...furthermore knowing ang moh executives, especially americans, I am pretty sure Rich had his own private family health care insurance as a back up

On the issue of resigning...well that was a matter for the board of DBS...not happy take it up at the DBS AGM...but to be fair keep in mind that Rich was only diagnosed with leukemia just before CNY this year...board of DBS had to make a decision based on the doctor's reports...
