Do more to lower GP charges

OUR often-lauded health-care system once brought in wealthy foreign patients. Sadly, however, the high charges by some doctors and hospitals subsequently sent some patients to Thailand and Malaysia.
The Ministry of Health's move to allow Medisave to be used in Malaysia is good for Malaysians who live in Singapore as permanent residents.
But more can be done for Singaporeans at home. For instance, the Government could let more general practitioners set up clinics here as greater competition would help to reduce charges, or it could persuade local doctors to charge more reasonably.
Better still, bring back the pricing guidelines and make them comparable to those in the region, including Thailand and Malaysia.

if you ask people who walk high society clubs , you will find many male doctors got sweet sweet PRC mei meis to feed.

Overheard in coffeeshops that when people complain about the high charges at GP clinics, they were told to go to polyclinics to wait for cheaper option.
The long waiting time at polyclinics give GPs an edge to up the cost.

Go wait till your legs grow roots if you want cheap medical attention, but are polyclinics really that cheap ?

Elderly can afford to wait but the younger ones need to work got no choice.

You see real long faces at polyclinics if you havent seen one.
Polyclincs are like torture camps to train people how to wait till piles grow.

I called up National Dental Centre (NDC) a couple of days back and was told if i want to go in as a subsidised patient rather than a private one, i would have to wait as long as 7 months to get an appointment there. The difference between the charges would be 30% to 40% lower.
Then, i decided to go in as a private patient and i got an appointment this coming Monday.

Just like how they selectively suppress
other sector's wages through selective intervention .

Make sure more doctors are allowed into Singapore .

So local doctors and Elite's children - DO NOT behave like Prince and Princesses !
