Bundesliga: Nurnberg 1 Eintracht Frankfurt 2
22 September 2012
Japan midfielder Takashi Inui scored his second goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 2-1 away win over Nurnberg.
Inui, who cost Frankfurt 1.2 million euros from Bochum in July, continued to make a quick return on their investment, striking in the 60th minute of Friday's Bundesliga match.
The victory maintained Frankfurt's unbeaten standing at the top of the Bundesliga with 12 points, three ahead of Bayern Munich, who play Schalke on Saturday.
Austrian striker Erwin Hoffer had given the visitors the lead in the 25th minute following a fine build-up involving Brazil defender Anderson Bamba.
Inui struick on the hour mark, finishing off a move by Martin Lanig.
Striker Sebastian Polter gave Nurnberg some hope of a share of the spoils when he struck in the 76th minute but the league leaders held on for another three points.
Nurnberg stay sixth for now with seven points.
