Twice in nine days, the thief struck at the same 24-hour coffee shop on Clementi Avenue 3.
He waited for the right moment – in the dead of the night when there were no customers around and with only the drinks stall open.
He then sauntered in, checked that the coast was clear, walked towards his target, and made off with the loot.
The first time he did that, he got away with cigarettes and about $10; the second time, he stole an entire cash register.
His actions were caught on the coffee shop’s 24 closed-circuit television cameras.
Coffee-shop supervisor Chong Chee Hing, 37, who showed the footage to The New Paper, has made a police report. The footage was also handed over to the police, he said.
A police spokesman confirmed the report and said investigations are on.
