<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A BUSINESSMAN was found guilty on five counts of drug trafficking on Thursday by the High Court. Sentencing for Abdul Salam Musthafa, 40, who operates a telemarketing centre, was adjourned to allow time for his lawyer S.S. Dhillon to prepare arguments why the offender deserves a lenient sentence.bThe date will be announced later. Abdul Salam could be jailed for up to 20 years and caned 15 times for trafficking heroin. The other charges involved trafficking Ice and other separate trafficking offences of smaller amounts of heroin. During the two-week trial last August, Mr Dhillon had tried to argue that Abdul Salam was innocent and Maryati was merely trying to shift the blame from herself. But Deputy Public Prosecutor Ng Cheng Tham said that Maryati's testimony was supported by text messages and phone call records that showed Abdul Salam was definitely involved.
