Outsource essential postal services for efficiency

THERE are just too few post offices in Singapore.
While the proliferation of other communication tools, such as e-mail and text messaging, could hit the profitability of mail services, there is still real demand for over-the-counter postal services.
As it is a public service, cost should not be the only issue. Is there a commercially viable solution to this problem?
In Britain, for example, many roadside retail shops also offer simple postal services such as selling stamps, sending registered mail and distributing social service benefits.
This is a clever idea. It brings traffic to the shops and increases their sales revenue via any commissions earned from the postal authorities. For the postal department, it could well be a cost-effective way of making its services available to the public.
Could our postal authorities adopt such an idea here?

isn't it funny that although India is one of the shittiest countries on this planet, Indian 'talents' abroad still manage to promote their shitland (even though they don't want to live there)?

Remember that fat SPH pig who said we have more cockroaches than India.

One day somebody will say our water is more dirty than Ganges River.

Like there are post offices on every corner in India,. quit being a turd Ms Ghosh ,
