Doesn't really sound to me like someone who's planning to stick around in SDP for much longer.
However, he strikes me as someone who is too free-spirited to fit into the WP disciplined style.
Which means, of course, that he will probably end up in NSP - the safe haven for people disillusioned with their former parties but WP isn't right for them

I find that he is a good, decent man. He is a bit flamboyant, that is all, and nothing wrong with that.
I think he would be able to fit in to any political party. But let us see where his political career takes him.

Actually, it doesn't matter which Opposition party a person belongs to. Our job is to deny PAP the two third majority in Parliament. PAP has dominated parliament for 54 years with policies (such as GRC) crafted uniquely to ensure that they rule and control Singapore forever. It's OK initially when you have passionate sacrificial leaders willing to rough it out for Singapore. When they started to commercialise politics (with their market rate ministerial pay and their the-end-justify-the-means pragmatism carried to the extreme at times that they have become disconnected with the ground), I know they were and are heading in the wrong direction. Hence, my involvement in Opposition politics. LLL must win so that the momentum towards GE2016 by the Opposition can be maintained. Remember my analogy during GE2011 of white-jerseyed PAP vs multi-coloured jersey (not necessary just blue-coloured) of the Opposition on the soccer field trying to sweat it out to score goals. Does it matter which colour as long as it is not white?
I think both Dr Ang and Tan Jee Say were on the side of non vote splitting in this PE By election. Dr Ang there were enough good candidate, he sees no need to run for the election and openly declared Lee Li Lian were a good candidate. A very gracious and loving man.TJS actually called up SDA asking him to withdraw to let WP in without splitting votes for the greater good of Singapore.I think these were great men who contributed in no small part to this minor victory for democracy in Singapore.
Are you kidding? Are you talking about the same TAN JEE SAY who kachiao the Presidential election, sent tony tan to the istana and wrote a book after that to gloat?
