It is the voters that give mandate to PAP to form Govt.

Nearly 70% Local voters are not intelligent people and they do not understand politics affect their lives in every aspect.

Worst, we have now a huge group of new citizens who are of course PAP supporters. These people are so-called economic refugees.
The FT policy is engineered to put PAP in power so there will be no such issue like ex-Taiwan Premier saga.
This is also the chief reason why the call to augment the low-birth rate by FTs is drummed.

All in all, artificial increase of singapore population is a ruse.

The small island has hit 5 million---this is not joke ! NO natural resources will see singapore going into riots when there is a famine, not to mention if 6.5 million is the target for PAP to stay in power eternally.
This is going nuts just for power and greed !

Please remember PAP people are rich people and millionaires, they can skip town with the A380 if social problems become unbearable.

Alternatives parties may want to think out of the box next GE.
Personal attacks on PAP chieftains will only cheer on the media and the actual debate will be demolished.
PAP candidates do not debate, they jump on one issue that is not relevant to voting but harmful to alternative parties. Gomez saga was one classic example---and they won without a real fight !!!

The voters are the culprits who make singapore today !

Alternative parties should warn the voters overpopulation will destroy singapore.
We do not want when singapore is too overpopulated and social fabric has broken down, things go terrible wrong then voters start to vote for a new govt. It is too late to salvage a sunken ship !
This message must hit across the islanders who are responsible at the polls.

Please remember FTs will not go back if the ship is sunk, this will add to the local woes.
A bloody future is real and in fact, PAP is sowing at the expense of the locals

Voters have responsibilities and not just vote for handouts and lift upgrading !

Population will increase further when the two gambling dens are open for business. More social problems will come.

Please remember old fart is not immortal, the truth will be out !

We have another problem, country reserves be best audited before any GE, did we practise ????? This is good for the country and citizens !

Next GE, if Alternative Parties continue to bitch at MIWs , and not warning the voters, attempt to save singapore is a forlorn hope.

The sinners are the voters !
Focus on them may us see a change to save singapore for the local sons and daughters.

Unlike Taiwan, HK, Japan, Thailand, Singapore has no culture. After the next GE, if PAP still not unseated, PAP would have turned singapore into hell.
It is too late for the pro-PAP people to realise their sins.

May the force be with you, all deities and GOds help the alternative parties.
Next GE or we drown with PAP bastards !!!

It is time to send this garment out of power and let these bunch of brainless but still think they are way above MPs out. We should all vote according to the policies. And not worry about if we have this or that upgrading. Our future is now at stake. When they say upgrading, the people still got to pay a certain percentage and it was never free for the citizens.

It is the people of Singapore (all 66.6 % of them at last count) who have not come to their senses and realized that their lives can be better.
If they don't have a vote and don't want to sue it wisely, there's nothing the alternative parties can do.

The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is a United Nations treaty based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, created on 16 December 1966 and entered into force on 23 March 1976.

The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights is monitored by the Human Rights Committee (a separate body to the Human Rights Council which replaced the Commission on Human Right sunder the UN Charter in 2006) with permanent standing, to consider periodic reports submitted by member States on their compliance with the treaty. Members of the Human Rights Committee are elected by member states, but do not represent any State. The Covenant contains two Optional Protocols. The first optional protocol creates an individual complaints mechanism whereby individuals in member States can submit complaints, known as communications, to be reviewed by the Human Rights Committee. Its rulings under the first optional protocol have created the most complex jurisprudence in the UN international human rights law system.

The second optional protocol abolishes the death penalty; however, countries were permitted to make a reservation allowing for use of death penalty for the most serious crimes of a military nature, committed during wartime.

Five categories

1. Protection on individual's physical integrity (against things such as execution, torture, and arbitrary arrest).
2. Procedural fairness in law (rule of law, rights upon arrest, trial, basic conditions must be met when imprisoned, rights to a lawyer, impartial process in trial).
3. Protection based on gender, religious, racial or other forms of discrimination.
4. Individual freedom of belief, speech, association, freedom of press, right to hold assembly.
5. Right to political participation (organise a political party, vote, voice contempt for current political authority).
Two optional protocols

1. Mechanism by which individuals can launch complaints against member states.
2. Abolition of the death penalty.

International law
Prominent critics in the human rights community, such as Prof. Louis Henkin (non-self-execution declaration incompatible with the Supremacy Clause) and Prof. Jordan Paust ("Rarely has a treaty been so abused.") have denounced the United States' ratification subject to the non-self-execution declaration as a blatant fraud upon the international community, especially in light of its subsequent failure to conform domestic law to the minimum human rights standards as established in the Covenant over the last fifteen years. In 1994, the United Nations 'Human Rights Committee expressed similar concerns:

Of particular concern are widely formulated reservations which essentially render ineffective all Covenant rights which would require any change in national law to ensure compliance with Covenant obligations. No real international rights or obligations have thus been accepted. And when there is an absence of provisions to ensure that Covenant rights may be sued on in domestic courts, and, further, a failure to allow individual complaints to be brought to the Committee under the first Optional Protocol, all the essential elements of the Covenant guarantees have been removed.

The majority of states in the world are parties to the ICCPR. As of September 2009 the following 29 states have either not yet signed the convention, or have signed but have not yet ratified the convention.
