FORGET what the surveys say, if you ask Singaporeans, Singapore Airlines (SIA) is still second to none. In the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards, Cathay Pacific nudged SIA from the top spot in the Airline of the Year category. SIA was Skytrax's Airline of the Year in 2007 and 2008.
The Skytrax survey was conducted over an 11-month period, and airlines were rated on factors like onboard products and pre- and post-flight services. While Singaporeans RazorTV spoke to were surprised at SIA's fall in rankings, they think the airline is still a great way to fly.
