SINGAPORE: Eight youths, aged between 15 and 19, were arrested for allegedly robbing an elderly man.
Police said the 62-year-old victim was assaulted and robbed by a group of male youths as he was walking along Pasir Panjang Road at about 6am on July 31.
Police said the suspects made off with his wallet containing valuables amounting to S$250.
The first suspect was arrested near Blk 140, Jalan Bukit Merah at 1am on Thursday.
The other seven suspects were arrested in Jalan Bukit Merah, Kim Tian and Jalan Rumah Tinggi housing estates between 2am and 4am.
Three of the eight suspects will be charged with robbery with hurt on Friday.
