2 loanshark harrassers nabbed

<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> TWO men suspected of being loanshak harrassers were nabbed in Hougang on Monday. Aged 21 and 23, they were spotted behaving suspiciously at the void deck of Block 450, Hougang Avenue 8, by police officers on routine anti-crime rounds.
The men were stopped by the officers and a check found a black marker pen, three packets of orange paint and a slip of paper containing suspected debtors' addresses on one of the suspects. Police believe these items would be used in loanshark harrassment and placed both men under arrest.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were believed to have carried out acts of harassment by splashing paint at debtors' units in the Hougang area. The suspects will be charged with loanshark harassment in court on Wednesday.
